Every Wednesday
8:00 - 9:00pm - Beginner Level Class
9:00 - 10:00pm - Improver Level Class
Where: All Saint’s Church Hall, 18 Vicarage Gate, Onslow Village, Guildford, Surrey GU2 7QJ
Cost: £10 – drop in, £35 – for 4 weeks session
Students: £7 – drop in, £20 – for 4 weeks session
Beginners classes. - This class is suitable for those who are absolute beginners. We will introduce
the basic principles of tango: walk, posture, embrace, parallel system of walking, and turns. We will
focus on the concepts of leading and following, and how to improvise to the music whilst maintaining
elegance and flow. We will explore the different rhythms in tango and the use of traspié (double time).
In no time at all you will be using the lyrical language of the dance and having fun!
Improvers classes. - We will start to develop and explore more complex figures whilst continuing to
revise the basic principles of tango. Elegant posture, clarity of leadership and sensuality in all steps
will be highlighted!

- women should wear shoes with a heel height they are comfortable with
